The Science of Discworld II the globe – Terry Pratchet
by Stephen on Sep.15, 2005, under Books
I started reading this straight after the first one, I bought them both together, so I had a pretty good idea of what to expect, the story picks up a while after the events of the first book in discworld time anyway, in round world time it mostly follows human evolution, and the science is a look into what makes us human, how we evolved, how our minds and Minds evolved, it also covers intelligence and extelligence.
NTFS for Windows 98 and Linux
by Stephen on Sep.15, 2005, under Tech Tips

NTFS for windows 98 why anyone would still have a windows 98 machine I have no idea as its so old now though.
NTFS for Linux Works the same as for the windows 98 but will allow access to your NTFS filesystem from your Linux install, I actually use this to mount one of my NTFS drives to access my music library that I recorded in windows before I installed Linux.

Free up some server disk space by deleting IIS logs
by Stephen on Sep.02, 2005, under Tech Tips
IF your server is running out of disk space, its worth having a look to see if IIS is logging all access, if it is and your server has been running a while theres a good chance that the log files have been mounting up and taking up most your space, I’ve just looked at a server thats been logging for about 2 years and clocked up 6Gb of logs.
